he didnt in 2010.he also said a rod that feels good to you,and you like it and catch a few fish with it is the best rod.i think he is right.

I will tell you i ask rick clunn this very same? At bassmasters classic in 2010,and he anwsered it with no hesitation.
If gloomis is hands down the best most senstive greatest warranty rod why dont the guys fishing for half million bucks use them.please dont respond endorsment cause beside kvd aint none of em getting...
Les I agree whole hearted,shimano makes a real nice rod as do many others.gotta go with what works for each person.some of these rods are outta my price range and too many good 100 rods.
I dont break rods either,take care of my equipment.there is a article with kvd where here talks about rods breakin and pretty sure the word mis use is in there more than once.i have to buy what works...

I ended up buying powell diesels,and they are sweet for 69 dollars.
Anybody tried these rods,they look and feel nice and warranty sounds great.any input
Looking for a good used one,don't have to be that brand just one of that type boat in good shape.

Another vote for pro qualifier,just bought 6 new ones sfter quitting for 2 years but when i started bacj it was pro qualifiers for reels.
