    Re: fireline crystal for fnf

I used fireline crystal for F-N-F fishing last year and will use it again this year. It is easier to see than the grey fireline. I use the 6lb test fireline for castability.

    Re: New reel ?

I have one of the new curado 7.1 high speed and I like the reel. However, I just purchased a new Abu Garcia Revo SX 7.1:1 and it is really sweet and cast like a dream. It is $50 cheaper than the...

    Dale Hollow Smallmouth

This is the biggest smallmouth of the year for me. I caught it Saturday, March 3, 2007 on a handtied duck feather f-n-f with olive back and pink belly. The fish was caught in the back of Indian...

    Re: Greenup Dam

I fished the Greenup tailwaters for several years. If the level is much above 20 feet it makes fishing difficult. I like a 5/16 oz jig that I make myself with at least a 2/0 hook. I like natural...

    Re: Avatar Contest - Win 2 Fishin.com T Shirts

:D My avatar is simply what it is all about. Catching big brown fish from Dale Hollow on the FnF with a handmade jig.
  7. Re: Will the FnF bite turn on this year? opinion

I think the float n fly bite should improve if the weather stays cold enough to drop the water temps and keep them in the mid 40's for a while. The smallmouth should suspend and therefore the FnF...

    RE: Dale Hollow Conditions

I fished the Hollow on Monday and had a fair day. We boated 6 smallmouths and had two big fish pull off after long fight. We also boated at least a dozen trout. When we found the trout we found...

    RE: Cumberland F-n-F Report.....

I would call that a good day. There is nothing like seeing that bobber pull under a laying into a toad. I have never fished FnF at Cumberland. I always pass it up and head to the Hollow. My...

    RE: FNF help

LAST EDITED ON Jan-22-06 AT 09:42PM (EST)[p]I would tend to agree with the above comments. I will fish the secondary points and bluffs up the creek arms. Any little cut along a bluff can be a hot...

    RE: FLOAT&FLY

I would also have to agree with Jim on this matter. I have fished numerous times with Bob Coan and discussed this matter with him. He logs numerous days on the water and rarely breaks off at the...
