Awesome. Thanks for the update.
Went Hunting instead. Big Mistake. Any updates?
Going to try for some slabs tomorrow. Any updates? How about water color? Thanks in advance.
Thanks guys. Im hoping the full moon will help with the gills/redear. Cannot back out now, at least the water looks good.
Thanks again
Going down this weekend for some Bluegill. Would like to k ow if this weather has muddied up the lake. Thanks in advance.
Thanks everyone for the input. I have yet to change my fuel lines and I will go ahead and place the order. Also, I will look for grounding issues as well. Again, thanks for the advise.
I continue to have my motor shut off when I'm at full throttle and full Trim. It is occasional and only happens when at full throttle & trim. It starts out stop, go, stop, go then done. I have talked...
Thanks for the info. My wife and I really appreciate the help. I'll post how we do, hopefully with som nice pics. Thanks again.
We will be staying up North and planned on fishing the Northern Barkley area, but nothing nothing in particular. Willing to trailer if needed so my wife can catch some slabs.
My wife and I will be going down this weekend for some Bluegill/Redear fishing. Would anyone be kind enough to point us in a good direction?
Dave,
First weekend in May, My Brother and I will be taking our wives for their first Redear/Bluegill trip to Kentucky/Barkley. How is the water level and clarity?
Going Crappie fishin near Frankfort. Could someone help me out with a good bait shop?
Sorry you didn't do to well in your tournament. I'm sure you show better in the next one. Thanks for the details, looks like I'll be sitting it out this weekend. Best of luck....
Was hoping to go fishing tomorrow and havent been down there in a while. Could someone post current conditions please?
I've really got Cabin Fever and I know most lakes are Chocolate Milk at best, but I was wondering about Beaver. Since it's small, does it get too muddy?
Thanks guys for the feedback. Merry Christmas Gentlemen.
Im planning on making a trip to Barkley for some Blue Gill and Redear and would like to get some recommendations on a good place to stay around the Devils Elbow area. Thanks in advance.
[QUOTE=Drew1233;539930]Will most likely be out there next week. I'll give you a report as soon as I'm off the water:cool:[/QU
thinking about going this weekend. Did you have any luck?
Thanks for the information. If you drive past the dam again in the next couple of days, please let me know if anything changes
I would like to fish Taylorsville on Sunday. Has the lake thawed enough to launch at the State Ramp?
I would like to shoot a few of these nasty fish. Is it easier to find them above or below the dam?
Thanks for th info. I'm going to try the Mcalpine Pool. Also, how far is Chanellon? Would like to try that out as well.
Never fished below the Dam, but I will fish it soon. I have heard too many people talk about how good the fishing is so I have to try. I mostly fish for bass, but I'm going to diversify.
The river was much better than I had anticipated. The biggest problem I did not re-tie enough. That rock and current is really tough on floro.
We caught LM, SM & Ky's. All on the river. The creeks where pretty crowded. Caught some on Crankbaits, but most came on plastics.
Fished the river for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised on the amount of bass we caught. I did not get the size I would have liked, but it was a fun. For all you river...
Silly question. Does anyone know someone that is handy with baitcasters? Cannot get my drag to quit clicking.
Thanks a bunch.
I went as well. The Pro's where very friendly and I thought it was great when KVD set the hook. It would have been nice to know a guy.
Fished it this afternoon with some success. The lake is stained, but found 46 degree water and active fish. Caught a couple of footballs and my main reason to be on the lake was to just run the boat....
Tried to dye a Zoom Speed Craw with no success. Im going to take it back.
I always like to dye the tips of my trailors with a little chartreuse. Normaly use a color marker which works really good. This is does not have any garlic just dye. When I shake to bottle you can...
Just bought a 4 0z Jar and when I dipped, the dye isnt any good. Was going to take it back but the bait shop had already closed. Has anyone ever had this happen? If so, how can I get the dye to mix?
Thanks for the update. Will probably wait till theres a little more water in the lake. Not too familiar with it when the water is down.
Has anyone fished it lately? Which ramps are open?
Thought it would work in the summer months. Already bought a couple.
Seems to me if you want to advertise your customer should not have to pay to view the product.
BIG SCAM...
Thanks for the site information, I will start listening to WFPL. Your comments about dead animals and other less than desirables in our lakes and streams is dead on. Its the amount of contamination...
Was thinking about wading this weekend, but due to the below comments, will probably wait. Unfortunately I haven't heard anything negative about Floyds Fork in a while, what happened? I absolutly...
Definately agree with Drakes Creek & Elkhort. Excellent small fisheries.
Ive jugged fished once and trying to get started as well. Ive always heard people using shad & bluegill, but do live crawls work well?
I see no fish consumption advisories, do you eat any? I do release all smallmouth, but the Rock Bass would be tasty. Just curious if anyone has heard any negatives.
Fished the creek for the 1st time yesterday, canoed all day and caught several Rock Bass and a couple of Smallmouth. Overall I thought it was an excellant day and im very disappointed, fished all my...
Was fishing Taylorsville Lake and hooked into something huge in 20' of water. During the retrieve my partner and i noticed a big fluffy white tail. Yep we hung a deer that had drowned crossing the...
In the past i've had a lot of luck fishing for sm with cabin creek spider jigs (Pumpkinseed and Green Pumpkin) Also, same colors with 4" lizards.
Does anyone have any information on the water condition at Barren River Lake. Thinking about going there or Green, just don't want it to be too muddy. Any feedback would be great.
Thanks for all or your input. Unfortunately I did not get anything on the Carolina Rig as hoped. I did however catch several on a Spinnerbait and small crankbaits. Before going, I thought things...
Sweep and reel it up, but I was gowing to slow down quite a bit this weekend. Is that a good bet?
Thanks Guys, Ill definitely be throwing the Carolina Rig this weekend. Give everyones advice a shot. Thanks again.
Haven't thrown a Carolina Rig much in early spring. Thought about trying it out with a tube jig. Anyone have any luck throwing this set up in early spring?
Anyone have any updates? Color, Temp? Going this weekend and would like to know what colors to start with.
