I have one. Not sure I want to part with it even though I hardly go FNF fishing any more.
I actually won it at one of the FNF get togethers at Horse Creek back in the day.

Every day he starts his press conference by saying you should stay home other than food, work, or medical attention. He doesn't say go fishing. Doesn't seem so simple to me.
This is a thoughtful and reasonable reply.
I'll add again that I don't think he wants people fishing at all if they have to drive to do it.I don't necessarily agree that it will have much of an...
Well, I was just going by this graphic of his 10 tips that he starts every press conference with. Number 1 says leave your house once a week for groceries. Otherwise, stay at home. Not saying I agree...
I thought our governor has said repeatedly that people should stay at home except for work, groceries and if they need medical attention. I've taken that to mean they don't want anybody going out to...
I can't go this weekend, but I'm off work from that point until Jan. 2. I could maybe go during that time. Do you ever try Cumberland? I think you could easily get to a few decent spots near the...
Just sent a text to the number I still had for you in my phone. I hope you still have the same one. It has been a long time. I don't have a boat anymore, so I don't do as much fishing.
Great report!
You're a braver man than I am to fish out of a kayak on Dale during the winter. I've considered it before, but couldn't make myself do it.
I pretty much always throw it all day when I go.
One of the state records for pickerel was caught in far Western KY - Carlisle County.
The other was caught in a creek in Bullitt County.
Both were caught in the 80s, though.
The Bowfin...
It is pretty disappointing they can't look it up electronically, although I believe they did it for my brother once.
I usually just take a picture of the license so I have a copy on my phone.
I liked that the new guy's very first segment was fishing for smallies on Dale Hollow. I like the direction the show is headed! :)
Tim Farmer was wonderful and I'll miss him a bunch on the show....
We'd love to. Don't think I'll get a new one for awhile, but he might. Anytime you have an open seat or are down at Dale, I'd be happy to join you.
Boat is sold.
Reply sent.
Here are a couple of pictures that might help you see a bit of the front and back. I don't have any better at the moment.

I'm looking to sell my 1998 Sprint 20' Bass boat. The 150 HP Evinrude 2-stroke runs perfectly. The boat doesn't have a lot of extras, but all 3 batteries are brand new (within the last couple months)...
I'm late to the party, but I agree with this.
I think, even if the fish are in 30 feet of water, they are looking up at the sky and basically seeing a shadow that looks like a suspended,...
You forgot to also mention that you found time to help me out this past weekend when my boat wouldn't start by a). rigging up the kill switch as a temporary fix and b). giving me a ride back to the...
I'm looking forward to my trip down there in a couple of weeks. It's sounds like the smallmouth have rebounded somewhat on Dale.
Great story and the fish in the video is huge too.
I couldn't get over all the product mentions, though. Heck, they told us just about everything they were using except the kind of underwear they...
I'm starting to think/plan some winter trips as well.
When actually fishing on Erie for suspended walleye, we would tip with a nightcrawler or leech, cast them out, count down to the depth the fish were at and reel back in slowly jigging them.
I...
Wow - if they're putting smallmouth from Cumberland or Laurel, then they're putting fish over 18" in there (assuming they're doing it with legal smallmouth).
I hope they take off in there. I'd love to have a winter smallmouth lake that was a bit closer to where I live.
One related issue that I find interesting is that there are anglers who aren't fishing in a tournament who will still put the bass in the livewell and run it around all day, take some pictures back...
A pond or a creek somewhere. I don't fish the bigger lakes in warmer weather.
I agree completely.
Got mine on Saturday.
Still not sure why it took 4 years (or whatever it was) to manufacture a license plate.
They're slowly caving to pressure and allowing the big motors on these small lakes. I think it's a shame.
Season is almost over for me. It picks back up about November.
What are jax?
I think I agree as well. I don't think catching more than your limit and giving them away is following the regulations. I get that trout are put and take, but what if someone went around the lake...
I've realized that apparently the first rule to fishing Laurel River Lake is the same first rule that Fight Club has.
It was indeed clear on the lower end. We barely had a bite in several hours fishing, though.
Did you register for the site or are you trying to access as a guest? I think you have to register to view the forums. There is some info there, but not tons of traffic.
Thanks for the information, Mark. I appreciate it.
Will it be muddy tomorrow after all this rain? Don't want to waste the gas money if it's going to be brown.
I'm not sure, but I do see their website is suspended and they haven't had a Facebook post in almost a month.
It wouldn't surprise me to see another magazine fold as I can't imagine anyone...
I think it works just fine in the 50s. I've done better at that temp than around 40. Of course, I'm not very good at fishing, either. The trip I described above is pretty good for us.
Water temp...
We fished on Cumberland on Friday and threw the fly the entire time. I think we fished for 5+ hours. We caught 3 smallmouth, 1 spot and a drum. They were all basically near main lake points, but...
Good report!
Just curious - what's your definition of a Keeper KY? Am I wrong, or is there not a size limit on them?
I'm going next Friday and I'll be throwing the fly.
Yep - that's what I thought when I read that as well.
I think I'm taking my first bobber trip - mostly to shake off the rust and check the gear - in 2 weeks. I'll probably go to Cumberland.
I bought a pair of these Red Steer Chilly Grip gloves last year, but the weather was so bad that I never went fishing after December and didn't use them.
...
Sad to hear. I have a bunch of those bobbers. I didn't get the privilege of meeting him at the 2 get-togethers I went to at Dale Hollow.
Thanks for posting. The fish violations number has been saved in my phone for years.
And you are great at your job. I've been a fan of the show and yours since you started there. I'm not sure, but I think it was in the mid '90s. Maybe longer.
I appreciated the story on Benjy as...
The worst thing that could have happened to that lake was Tim Farmer catching a 7# bass on it and then broadcasting that catch on KY Afield.
Great report, and it sounds like a good trip. Interesting that one of the primary species was largemouth.
I always say it, but I need to get back up there sometime. My two trips weren't even...
I thought I heard they were pulling a lot of water to flush out all the dead asian carp. I could be wrong on that, though.
