Elk Creek Grocery and Elmars both sell minnows, both are on Taylorsville rd.
I doubt it, but I suspect by the weekend it'll pick up a lot.
(but I'm wrong a lot, I just keep wishing)
I do know that lately people are fishing way to shallow, right up on the bank.
I've been...
My Suburu Outback can tow up to 3000 lbs.
I get 21 mpg pulling my Tracker with
Toyota Rav4 Adventure can tow 3500 Lbs.
Both are 4 cylinders and tow it easily.
Please everyone-wear your lifejacket
The fish you get from Ky river may very well have spent most of his life
in the Ohio. you just never know.
When it comes to mercury found in fish, any lake that gets rain water has mercury.
Most...
I sometimes use latex gloves.

Hope you have continued success and reliability,
There are many out there that have not.
I have been told by a marine mechanic that he has seen a lot of problems
with the new 4 strokes and told me...
Treated wood won't last any longer than untreated wood, the treatment
is only for insect control, not to make it last longer.

A lot of early morning fishermen leave around lunch time,
especially the bass fishermen. I usually go around 2 o:clock
and have had no problem with finding a space.
I like the evening hours better...
Let them know what?
That the dock is OK?
You say he moved up there with his boat?
No, the sauger is not consistent, I have been over there recently and couldn't get a bite.
Other times you could fill the boat up with them.
It's like they come and go.
I wouldn't trust it during the day.
Shootings aren't uncommon in that neighborhood.
I have noticed on car batteries, when they start going bad they use water.
I did get a trickle (maintenance) charger and am going to leave that hooked up to the batteries during cold weather....
So why would it boil away if the charger is suppose to stop charging once charged?
Doesn't that mean the charger is overcharging.
Well mine has a green light that comes on when fully charged, so is that in maintenance mode?
Is it OK to leave a on board charger on after the batteries show a full charge?
Especially during this cold weather, Seems like it may be good for them.
Anyone see any harm in leaving them...
I see them at Taylorsville quite often.
I hope you have a regular outboard motor too, otherwise, no way go out there.
I have found Guest Creek didn't produce nearly as well this year
as previous years for me.
I guess all lakes have their up and down years, and this past
season was down for me at Guest Creek and...
Keep asking body shops for PDR (paintless dent repair) guys they might know of.
Most body shops have someone that specializes in that.
That will be your best bet, if they can't do it then welding...

I use the local self serve car wash.
Pressure wash then pressure rinse.
The last time the lake was checked by the Fish & Wildlife people
they said Mcneely lake had a higher than usual bass population
over 2 lbs and rated the lake "excellent" for bass fishing.
Not many...
I was surprised that there is now no description on it, no eye, hair color, weight etc.
Get the new ones now for next year, after March 1st they all go up
They won't be letting much out as long as the Ohio is so high.
That is the real reason for the lake in the first pace.
For you that don't know it, Taylorsville lake is way more polluted
than the Ohio River. Taylorsville is the most polluted body of water in all
of Ky. It's bad, real bad.
Yet I never hear anyone...
I reported it a few weeks back, nobody believed me.
But the water definitely was dark black.
It's not just the length of the rod but it's stiffness that makes more of the difference.
I've seen on here that there is not a minimum size limit
at Taylorsville for hybrids like there used to be,
yet when I look up the regulations for Taylorsville it
says the state reg's apply....
What is enough for one may not be enough for another.
Trailers vary and how much the motor is past the wheels
of the trailer will determine the angle and distance the
motor will be off the ground...
Stripers don't spawn in Cumberland.
Just because the water is deep, doesn't mean the fish are.
I catch crappie all the time at Taylorsville in water more than 50' deep,
but the fish are usually around 15'.
????
The impeller is the water pump.
I was there a couple days ago.
It was stained a little and around 47 deg.
The level as of today is almost at winter pool
Taylorsville is up 6.5' from winter pool as of today, and rising.
As of today, Guest Creek is up a little and "stained" not quite what I call muddy.
About 44 to 45 degrees.
A brand new ramp and it's unusable right now because of low water.
Great design!
No reason to not have your license with you.
Sorry it happened but there's no excuse to not have it
The law is clear about that and you ignored it.
Like said above, zip-lock bag.
It must be...
I was there Wednesday, temps were 69 to 70
Water is heavily stained.
Almost muddy towards Settlers Trace, a little more green at Chowning.
Had a black cast to it like it's turning over.
Crappie...
Mine were white and black, evenly mixed.
Went again yesterday, the smallest I kept was 11"
Had one almost 14"
I always catch bigger ones behind everyone fishing toward
the bank in shallow water....
I went yesterday and found most fish had backed out to about 12' to 15' depth.
I caught a lot of nice size crappies that a still full of eggs.
I only use 1/16 oz jigs, chartreuse curly tails.
A...
I don't see a difference when pulling them next to the boat,
with or without.
When I lived in Georgia I heard a lot of people call them "white perch"
Kind of odd, they're not even in the perch family.
And it's pronounced Crappie, not Croppie.
Sometimes the crappie fishing...
I went yesterday and the water cleared up quite a bit on up the lake,
about half way to Chowning.
I caught some nice crappie.........finally.
Last week was horrible but they're starting to bite...
I was there Monday, crappie fishing.
the bite was extremely slow.
Only brought 5 home.
The water was in the upper 40's and
the color looked real good.
I was there last Friday, really slow.
water was 85 degrees.
My son did get one large mouth about 5lbs
on a plastic worm by a deep water rock wall.
Wow! I had no idea.
I've always fished the Ohio for Sauger and guest Creek for crappie.
How come this is never mentioned?
