Anyone fishing the Ohio River for anything?

I went down to the Newburgh ramp and didn't see a single boat trailer in the parking lot. And it was almost 60 deg F today. Overcast and nice outside. I didn't check the Ohio River level but it appeared to be low enough to launch a boat there at Newburgh Launch ramp. There was some drift wood at the base of the launch ramp so it appeared to me that no one had launched from this ramp in a few hours.

I would think that people would be out there fishing for sauger or catfish. Especially on such a warm day.

This IN forum is dead. No posts in the last few days. I guess everyone is out hunting deer.

Sauger aren't running yet. Water temps need to come down a bit more. It's also a rough time of year for stripers and hybrids. With the cold front friday, things will change rapidly for the better.

I'll be fishing flooded creeks for everything....fun time of the year for many speices. Chuck
