Could someone post a picture of one of APB's Bucktail Wonderlures. I would love to see one. Thanks
I've also heard that another Jig called Palmers Bucktails are good jigs that swim straight and level also catch Stripers pretty good. I've seen their website and they seem to specialize in Striper tackle but have never seen or tried any of their lures. Anyone else heard of these guys? Website is www.palmerstackle.com Thanks TR
APB that is an interesting looking jig. I like that head. Congratulations on a good looking jig.
Where can you buy jigs similar to APB jigs
I've never found them. Here is a link to the mold.

The mold has to be modified to add the ring for the spinner. I've made my own but I am not experienced\talented enough to get the paint and hair like Andrew's. Mine do catch fish, but I'd rather use his. Still, if someone wanted to make them, it's a moderate DIY project.
As Duayne noted, the mold is from Do It molds (Shad Head Jig - SHB-5-A). I modified it to accept the spinner. Plenty of places online to buy that mold for folks interested in pouring their own.
Yes Andrew makes some nice looking baits. He sure has caught some nice fish on them too. I guess bucktails are like any other lure in that you have to have confidence in them. Fisherman all have their favorites and are hard to shake loose from their way of thinking. It wont be long though before I'm slinging them again, but it will be because they will be made by me.
I appreciate the links for the molds but was looking for someplace to buy bucktails with spinner on them and non spinner also
Understandable. There may be others that wish to DIY them. By the way, you do not have to add the eye for the spinner just because the mold was modified to accept it. Any excess lead that goes into the modified area can be trimmed and returned to the pot.
Advice about doll flies--are any of you having any problems at Cumberland with casting the clay banks with the new growth and higher water levels?
