Can't go fishing in a snow storm so what now?

We got about 4 to 6 inches of snow here after we got about 1/2" of ice and sleet first.

I'm snowed in today and thankful that there is an internet to browse.

I wonder if it's cold enough to get the sauger on the Ohio River to start biting?

I read where some of the roads were being closed off in Vanderburgh County so that tells me the Ohio is pretty high now.

I guess all the snow is melting at once and adding to the water from all the rains we have had.

I don't get my boat out on the River much anymore. And I won't take it out on the Ohio River during the late fall or winter. Now I may get out on the Ohio River during the water weather months.

I use to take my boat out on the Ohio when I was younger but these days I prefer to fish lakes and stay off the moving water.
