    Question Pre Rapala Wiggle Warts

I am curious about the pre-rapala wiggle wart craze. What makes them so much better than the post Rapala versions? People are asking, and getting outrageous prices for these baits. I've seen these baits sell for as much as $25.00 each! I own both, have fished both trying to tell a difference, but for the life of me, can't tell any. Could someone please enlighten me on what the craze is all about, because I am very confused? Input anyone? Thanks

Don't know anything about rapala wiggle warts because all of mine are made by storm. I have some from the 60s and 70s that are no different than those made now.

Thanks for the reply Rooster. The Rapala Co. purchased Storm a while back. While all of the baits are Storm lures, technically, they are now made by Rapala.

The ones that are worth money were made before rapala purchased storm, and are stamped wiggle wart under the bill instead of storm. Some of them can sell for $50-100 new in the box. If anybody has any with wiggle wart under the bill id be happy to buy them

Still wanting to know what makes them so desirable, the fact that they were made by Storm, and not Rapala?

Because now they might be considered collectable. People who collect fishing gear may pay a little more for them in years to come. May be no difference in the action of the plug.

They are so valuable because the old ones randomly kick out for no reason and apparently that helps a lot because i always have a lot more luck with the pre rapala

Got to check me tackle boxes. Thinking a friend gave me some years ago, but never fished them.
