I have both the new and old ones and I much prefer the old. Here's an interesting article on it:

I have several old ones and one that is a serious go to in early Spring. It is a craw color and I die the edges of the bill with fluoresant orange. For some reason the new ones don't sem to have as wide side to side wobble as the old ones.

I wish I had a dollar for every big Smalljaw that has ever been caught on the Wart...

Thanks for posting this article. It makes a lot of sense and has pretty much answered my questions. He is correct about it being one of the best cold water crank baits out there. The next time I'm out crankbait fishing I will do a little more comparing. But right now my mind is on Dale Hollow as I am dying to do some float n fly fishing and get into more of the plentiful 4 lb + Smallies down there! Thanks again to all that replied to my post! Have a great Holiday Season!

I was looking through some of my crank bates, and I have 5 Magnum Warts, it's printed MAGNUM Wart under the bill, are the Magnum Warts pre Rapala or post?

I know they made them pre-Rapala. Not sure if they continued after.

They are so valuable because the old ones randomly kick out for no reason and apparently that helps a lot because i always have a lot more luck with the pre rapala
