Thinking about going for are annual Fishbowl tourney on superbowl Sunday. Just wondering if the water would be right and the sauger are on the move. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I need to get the Fishbowl trophy back

Are you going to be fishing from a boat or the bank? The evening is the best time
We were there this past Sunday and never caught any sauger. We did catch a few really nice slot trout. What was you catching your sauger on?
The release schedule looks to erratic for a boat. Gonna be shorebound if we don't go to the Ohio river. Really need a fresh fish and 30 degree weather. Heat wave
Looking at their 5 day forecast, they are projecting an average discharge rate of 3,000 cfs for Sunday. That's the equiv of one turbine running. Not a bad flow for boating around the dam area (IMO). See link: http://www-wm.lrn.usace.army.mil/hh/.../memrvrbna.txt
Find any current break and cast a no. 10 rapala in clown color into the current and let sweep down to the break and work back to you slowly. If you are in a boat, go to the slack side and use a crappie jig tipped with a minnow on the bottom or jig a blade bait off of the bottom.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. Rand Paul today issued the following statement in reaction to the Army Corps of Engineers’ announcement that the presence of the duskytail darter in the headwaters of Lake Cumberland might keep the lake from rising to its traditional level:
“Kentuckians are being asked to suffer through yet another absurd ordeal at the hands of the federal government. Lake Cumberland businesses, families and visitors have waited seven years for a return to normalcy, and federal agencies are now saying we'll probably have to wait even longer. Any delay is obnoxious and I would hope federal authorities would recognize the negative impact.”
“I have introduced legislation that would let us avoid problems like these altogether. The Endangered Species Management Self-Determination Act would give Kentucky the power to regulate all of our endangered species and also give Congress the ability to review the process of naming endangered species.”
Sens. Paul, Dean Heller (R-Nev.) and Rep. Mark Amodei (R-Nev.) introduced the Endangered Species Management Self-Determination Act in Nov. 2013.
Thanks for the advice. Will post how we do sunday
Caught several bows 17 to 18 inches. Largest was 18.5. No walleye or sauger. Only could fish for two hours at first light before the water came up. All in all a good trip but I've got cabin fever even worse than before.
Heard you got smoked!!!!!!
No need for he said, she said, stuff. I just had lots of quick releases. Better for the fish
