We had a great day on the water with friend and guide Capt. Jim Leary. We started off with a bang catching a fish on the first cast of the day. A few minutes later brought a big fish to the boat and the rest was history. Thanks Jim for a HUGE day when others were struggling to get a bite. Anytime you can see two 7lber's, a 6, two 5's and some others is a GREAT day in my book! Go to www.guntersvillebassguides.com and hook up with Jim. I took a chance and booked my first trip with Jim back in November and 4 trips later I'm still a happy man. Do yourself a favor and if you are going to fish Guntersville and you can afford it get in the boat with someone who knows the lake. You'll be happy you did!

I agree. The weather is shaping up to make it even better by warming up.
Snow, ice and 41 degrees down there today. Looks like you guys got in there, nailed some pigs and got out before the weather turned.. Looks like the weather will warm considerably next week for the Classic!
Man, I need to get down there again. The last time I was there, it was horrible.
Embrey has had some pretty stellar trips down there.

It seems like every time I go some crazy weather happens and it turns into a "should have been here yesterday" deal. I will be down there for the Classic, but won't have time to fish, but am hitting Dale Hollow on the return home, if the weather is ok.
This was my 4th trip since Nov. We killed it every time except for 1 day. It's like anywhere else and might be slow but you never know when the next cast will be a MULE! I'm hoping to go back after the classic.
those are some nice fish. what were you all able to catch them on.
