River will be 4' above summer pool. Be careful. I would try a silver buddy or hopkins spoon. Jig these right off the bottom.
Sauger are on the bottom. keep lures close to the bottom. Give us a fishing report.

Ganna try to get out this weekend and catch some sauger. Honestly haven't ever done it so looking forward to trying something new. Has anyone been down there at all? Is it even worth going out? Ganna try some jigging a 3in grub tipped with minnow and probably have one on the bottom as well. I'll be fishing from a boat and getting as close to the lock as I am allowed. I have captain nav on my phone so I will be able to monitor barge traffic.

Alright I think we'll give it a shot. I think we are going to try up by the lock on the Ohio side and I know there is a creek down river on the Ohio side that people catch them at the mouth of sometimes. Like I said I am kind of going in blind, but hopefully we'll catch something and learn something. The river will be a little rough but no more than usual. And next week it's going to get sloppy for the fore seeable future.
