    New state record Brook Trout?

We got a call from somebody that has a 2.2 pound Brook Trout in their boat this morning from the Cumberland River.

Fish and wildlife has the record has 1 pound 5 ounces on their website. There's a YouTube video with Tim Farmer with a record of 1.83 pounds from last summer.

Does anybody know if the 1.83 still stands? If you do please let us know.

Probably will be a record but pending the official Commonwealth of Kentucky blessing.

Messaged with Lance Sasser last night and I think he is more proud of the 10 pound Brown.

Maybe I should have asked first, but is it ok to add links from Facebook when it's just for information and not an ad?

Posting that link is OK. Its obvious that you are not in this to promote Grider Hill's facebook page.
Lol you were in this before facebook!

True.. LOL I go back to the very first version of the fishin.com board I think. Still, I don't want to skirt the rules so thanks for the clarity. It was just easier than trying to download the pics and re-upload them.

I'm curious about the process of keeping a potential state record if a fish that is considered catch-and-release only? What if you kept it and it's not a record? How does the state look at this?
    That's one helluva brown trout!

There is a 15-inch size limit on brooks on Cumberland Tailwater so this fish would be legal.

Got some texts from Lance last night. He helped a client land a 14 pound Brown yesterday and he sent me a pic. He also sent a pic of a 26 pound striper landed from the lake last week. I'll have to see if I can get them off my phone and on to here...
