Fishing had been really good this winter on Cumberland until the shad kill , but the last month has been tough anyone know if this condition has improved and if so what is working

Has it gotten any better
not yet but the seagulls are getting fat from all the shad coming thru the dam
This is actually a very good thing as the lake like most all of them have way too many Shad. They will gorge for awhile and then the amounts will start to diminish and level things out.
After that and a little time the bite should explode like a bomb. This has been my experience in winters that get cold enough to kill alot of Shad.....

it will be, but the waiting is tough when you are use to fishing every other day
I'm going down this weekend, I'm assuming the creeks will be muddy but the water should be warmer which I hope will bring the bass . I'll post later on what I can figure out it may help in near future
