Hey guys.....new fishing kayak owner here, and I'm doing research on nearby rivers, creeks, and streams suitable for paddling/fishing. I have a great book that describes a number of fishing accesses for canoeing/kayaking throughout the state, but it is about 10 years old. One area that intrigues me is Harrod's Creek in Oldham/Jefferson counties. I'd like to access the lower portion near KY 329 and KY 1694, with a take out down on River Road. I've read on other sites, etc., about dicey situations regarding putting in. Apparently 1694 is the way to go, and it looks good (did a drive-by), but parking seems to be highly dubious at best. Lots of "no parking" signs, and where there are none, not much solid ground to park on.

Anyone have any insight to this area, and/or recommendations?

Thanks,

BEW
