    rage tail vs paca craw

The moon is getting fuller and brighter and my jig arm is starting to twitch. The last few summers I have been stuck on using paca craws and chunks as trailers on my jigs at night and have done pretty well on them. But I got introduced to the rage tails and I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with both. I like the "flappy" action of the paca claws but I don't like how when I swing a shaking fish in the boat the claws snap off and go flying. The rage tails look like they will have more of a deliberate "flutter" action with the claws which may be quite nice as I tend to "hop and swim" jigs more so than slow crawl or slow hop them at night. Is it worth a switch to the rage tails or are those pacas hard to beat?

I prefer beaver craws. But between those two I'd stick with a baby paca

Paca chunk for me in hot water or night fishing. I have done several pool tests and the Paca chunk/craw has more action and vibration than any other. The new Rage bug has a different look too. The main difference in the Paca is the randomness of the movement. It doesn't do the same thing. It is very erratic. The Rage stuff has a steady movement. Just my findings.

I have fished the rage tail craws time and time again as they are very durable and have never let me down.

I love the paca chunk. But it's what ever I can grab in the dark.

Lots of love for paca and it is a good thing as I must have 12+ bags of them in the boat. I did pick up a pack of rage tail craws and will be trying them the next couple of nights along side the pacas. I'll post back my reflections on the two. Thanks for the feedback...

Ive found the Rage claws fall off easier than the paca claws. 90% of the time i throw chompers twin tail on one, but when i dont it paca chunks

I think that is the catch 22 of these craw trailers on the claws falling off -- they are made from soft plastic which gives them enhanced movement and action but that soft plastic is weak so the claws break off easily. I was hoping for the holy grail of good action plus durability but that may not be possible...
