I talked to a guy who said taylorsville lake was a good place to bass fish. But after reading old threads on here from like 2010 I am not sure about it. Can anyone tell me if its worth the trip up there or would I be better off to fish in a mud hole. I know nothing about the lake but I would like to try out a few different lakes other than cave run and cedar creek. Any info would be awesome.

Flip a paca craw around cover or throw a spinnerbait. Make sure to go early or late because pleasure boaters can get bad.
Thanks if nothing else I will still be on the lake having fun. But to leave with a ruff thumb is a heck of a lot better.
Im normally not bothered by pleasure boaters due to the fact that I am blessed with week days off. Ive seen days where it is me and 4 other boats on cave run and that was one of the best days ive ever had on it. I did make the mistake of going on july 3rd and planned to be out by 11:30 am and when I got to the main lake I felt like I was in the ocean.
Ive prefished a tournament before and been the only boat on the lake lol
Its Taylorsville a Tuesday morning and it maybe packed.
is it more of a pleasure boater lake, if so Ill save the gas and continue to fish the same ole hole
It does have a lot of pleasure boaters. But it's not like you cannot avoid them and catch fish
The Cyano bloom is back with a vengeance so be careful what you put in your mouth. Some of my neighbors went jet-skiing last weekend and all of them got pretty sick.
i fished taylorsville on tuesday 7/22 and had about 35 bass between us but they where all between 12 and 14 inches. With taylorsville being in such close proximity to louisville its a bass fishing nightmare during the day on the weekends plus its a long way from bath county out there too.
Yeah I'm not gonna lie, if I did not live literally right next to that lake I would never fish there.
