i have used the heavier stuff like 40 and 50lb test.. and it works just fine.... the smaller stuff is good for about a 1\3 of the season and then needs to be replaced ... have to replace it about 2 or 3 times a season as it weathers pretty fast.

Has anyone tried using the cheap Zebco omniflex monofilament fishing line that walmart sells?
Sometimes I really wonder if the expensive lines are really that much better.....

as cheap as that stuff is if you get half a dozen trips out of it you could afford to change it often.
I have used it for years and cannota tell any difference betweein it and Stren or Trilene. Primarily use it for everything except my worm and jig rods where I am partial to Pline. Also, use it on my spinning reels but as a leader for the Power Pro. I change line twice a year anyway primarily due to re-ties eating into the spool and memory setting in after attempts to alleviate the situation.
