If you have current the fish will be biting. If it is really flowing hard, fish another day. Current turns on the bite in a river or a lake.

There is a wall that protrudes out from the main stucture (between the dam and the spillway) approx 30 feet long. If the wall is visible, it is better to fish the spillway side of the dam. If the wall is underwater, it is best to fish the beach/State Park side of the dam as the water current will be tremendous below the spillway. I have fished with some success with the water being several feet above the wall while fishing the beach side, but I try to avoid fishing with water levels over 15ft on either side if possible.
thanks saugerdaddy if you ever want to go fishing let me know . thanks steve
