Thanks for the info. I'm excited to get down there next week. We have fished it for a few years and it was a let down to hear the hotel was closed. But I know the fishing will be awesome!!
John Kuntz and his wife have purchased the The Motel Overlooking the Wax Boat Ramp. He is presently remodeling the property, and is anticipating being open in the March time frame. I and Eleanor ( previous owners) will be helping them in this new endeavor to keep the menu pluses, while adding Gourmet Pizza , Char Coal Steaks and Chops to the menu. I'm excited about the changes he's planning and look forward to some of his new offerings.
New Website will be nolinlakelodge.com

Nolin river was a blast caught a lot of fish. But our stay at the Hatfeild Inn wasn't as pleasant. Now the rooms were nice and everything was clean the breakfast was great. But when it came to the price of the room there were some problems. And I wasn't the only one I heard several arguments over this. My reservation was for 86.00 a night but when I checked in they tried to bill me 230.00. Of which I was not happy. Since I wanted a 2 bed room and they didn't have any they crammed a rollaway bed in the room and were going to charge me an extra 15.00 a night for it. They took it off after I reminded them of the problem. Plus they put a hold on my credit card for a week instead of the two days they told me it would be. The Inn was packed with hunters and fishermen and of the 10 or so people I talked to they all seemed to have the same problem. The Inn it self was very nice clean and well kept but obviously they need to do something about their billing.
