First time I ever tried this. I got tired of the frozen pre-packaged meatballs available at the grocery and decided to make my own. They turned out pretty darn tasty.
These are the "raw" balls ready for the oven.
Fresh out of the oven and ready for some marinara sauce.
Simmering in the sauce.
ON a plate of spaghetti.
Today I'm going to fix a meatball hoagie sandwich:meatballs, a little marinara sauce, and some parmesan cheese toasted in the toaster oven.
Hey, Chuck, how does that look??

Looks great Tyme did you use some sausage in them or is that seasoning? I like to use about a 50\50 hamburger sausage mix. Some Tymes I use a hot sausage for a little zest and better drinking meatball LOL. ChuckFirst time I ever tried this. Pound each of ground pork and ground beef
One cup of fine bread crumbs soaked with one cup of milk.
Two eggs
2 tsp of salt
fresh ground black pepper, about 1 tsp
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup fresh minced parsley
1 cup chopped onion
2 gloves of garlic,finely minced
The "seasoning" you see in the raw meatballs is the parsley and probably some of the onion.
Yum! that would go nice in a green pepper to
