Getting several new rod and reel combos this Christmas and I know what rods I'm getting just undecided on reels. I already know I want a lews speed spool 6:4:1'but don't know what to get for my 5:4:1 or my 7:1:1. Have heard a couple of guys say the bps pro qualifier is a good 5:4:1 crankin reel but have no idea on what to get for my 7:1:1. Want something that's reasonable on price ($100-$150) and is built like a tank. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, drew

I have around 20 reels. Half are the BPS Pro Qualifier and the others are the ABU Revo S. I like them both. The Pro Qualifier seems a little more durable. I like to use it with the heavier stuff like Jigs. The ABU Revo S seems a little more fragile. I like this reel for smaller stuff like small crankbaits. Remember all of this depends on the rod. Crank baits throw better with rods built for crank baits along with medium action rods. The bottom line these two reels in my opinion are the best reels in your price range.
A buddy of mine who guides 200 days a year told me the Cheaper Lews and the Pro Tourney perform about the same. He switched from Shimano to Lews a couple years ago, and uses the 99 dollar Lews reels........
Cannot tell a difference.
I have the Tourney Pro, but will be adding 2 of the cheaper reels to see if I like them as well.

invest in high-end reels. If you are ever in a bind you will be able to sell them faster and get more % of your money back.

Sell fishing tackle? Sell the truck and leave boat on the water.LoL
I used to be a Shimano guy, but I am loving my 3 Diawa Tatula reels. I have one in all three ratios 5.4, 6.3 & 7.1. There is an online auction site where you can get them for under $100 new.

I have two Revo S's. I love em.
Forgot to add that in here! I already own 2 revo s's and love them too! And I have a crankbait rod skeeter hornet. Thanks for the suggestions! Will most likely just end up getting 2 lews and a pro qualifier. Thinking about getting that bps pro qualifier/carbonlight rod reel combo and then I get a back up rod for only like 40 extra bucks.
I have a brand new Revo MGX advertised in the Classifieds for Free board.
I have a Daiwa Tatula in the 7.1:1 and I love it. The cast is foolproof and the retrieve is butter smooth
I have a 5:4:1 lews speed spool on my duckett ghost rod and I love it for cranking. I think its one of the smoothest reels for the money.
