Want to take my 9 year old down to the hatchery creek (Wolf creek dam) during Christmas break. Any suggestions on best bait to keep enough bites to hold her interest.

Is Hatchery Creek open to the public right now? I know the department was in the middle of a restoration project on Hatchery Creek the last time I checked.
