I think you would get your best answer by going directly to the source rather than here. Why have your trip ruined by a citation and possibly losing your gear with you for a few dollars? I believe Florida offers a short term license.

You have to have a fishing license for all public lakes and all private lakes that exceed 30 acres. I've read that on the web site. However, I know a lake in North FL that is private and is totally surrounded by private properties / communities. It has been explained to me that the game warden cannot come onto a lake without a public access ramp therefore a license is not required there. Is this true?

The lake can be owned by these properties. I live on a valley land and own half of a pond in my back yard, the other half is the neighbors. This means you can be arrested for trespassing very easily. Some areas may over look this but there is likely someone who owns said private property who will not want commercial fishers in the lake.
