Fished Cedar Creek lake on Saturday the 17th. Water was 37.5* when we started and was teetering on 40* when we left. Concentrated on crappie for the most part but fished for bass the last hour or two. Bite was slow for us with me missing a bass on a green jig on a sun soaked bank in 20ft of water. That was the only bite of the day. Talked to several anglers that were having similar results. Best we spoke to were some guys fishing for crappie that had caught 2 really nice bass. Wind made boat control almost impossible which kept us in mouths of creeks that offered wind protection. 95% of the lake was free of ice when we left. Happy fishing!
