That's crazy considering everything else is really high. With this upcoming week having warm temperatures and more rain hopefully that ice will melt off! When the Ohio river is high I enjoy going there and doing some crappie fishing.

I drove by the lake yesterday mainly wanting to see what effect all the rain and the melting snow run off has had, and to my surprise none! Apparently its being let out as fast as it comes in.......................as for the ice, I expected that but I didnt expect lake levels to still be as low. This pic was taken from the landing just prior to the 145 bridge......looking directly at the main Newtion Stewart ramp 3/8/2015.

With sunshine and temps like we are having today the ice wont last long...........
I checked out ah few more ramps yesterday, the water is coming up and it looks good, however the ice is still heavy, especially in the backs of the coves. Main bodies are ice as well as of, I was curious as to how thick it was so I tossed one of those large peices of rip rap out on to it from the the dock at Southlick and it bounced off the ice. This was yesterday...............3/12.
