    Dale Hollow

Just checking to see if anyone is having aNY luck with brown fish on cranks. Headed down next week with dad and my youngest son. His 1st trip to the lake and hoping to get his arm broke a few times. Launching from State Dock.

    Thanks

    Dale

Love to hear that! Are you ripping it or just milking it along. Ive had some of the best jerkbait bites ive ever had come in that lake. Smallies have knocked the bait sideways they hit it so hard.

    Thanks for the info.

    headed for Dale Hollow also

I love a jerk bait bite, could you tell us if there is any clear water, I saw a report that Large Mouth was being caught in muddy water, and that the smallmouth were being caught on the lower end of the lake in 15 to 25 feet of water on points. I sure would like to know where the clear water is, if any. I don't want youre spots, Thanks guys, and be sure to catch and release, those smallmouth are a valuable fish.

We fished dale yesterday. Had 20 fish on swim baits and jerk baits. The smallmouth was hammering the jerk bait!! Fished around midlake area. We found a lot of fish up pretty shallow already in around 12 ft on pea gravel banks and points. Most of the jerk bait fish come on black chunk rock banks close to a spawning area

    Jerkbait on Dale

Thanks for the report. How was you working the jerkbait? Also where the browns good quality fish. After the big kill a few years back I've heard reports of the quality & quantity coming back around. Hope I can get my kiddo tied in to a good one later this week. He hooked into a 3.5lb last summer wading in a stream and about had a heart attack.

    Here's to a fun trip.
