My buddy and I will be coming down for our first bass fishing trip to Guntersville on April 13.
We will be staying at the Honeycomb Campground and plan to fish in this area all the way into town.
Where will be some good areas to try? Will they be in pre-spawn or spawn?
Can anyone suggest what type of lures will be working at this time?
We really appreciate any help.
PS, My buddy has been bass fishing for years but he just got me into it about six months ago and I'm really excited to have the opportunity to fish such a great bass lake!
I'm sure this probably isn't the fishing your looking for, and I know Zipppp about Guntersville but a buddy took me up there 2 times a couple of years back. I don't know what it's called but there's some kind of feed mill plant right by the water, we would use life like rubber shads 4" or 5" in long. We would drop them to the bottom, then reel up about a foot then just leave it there and drift. We started catching a whole bunch of MONSTER sized Drums. I know that's not the kind of fish every body's after, they are some Nasty looking fish, but we just tossed them back in, and drop the line again. We sat out there and caught 10-20lb as many as you want until your arms can't handle any more. My biggest one was 32lb!!!! Catching anything that big is always fun.
