Well the weather more or less sucked this weekend but the fishing was decent. We were able to put together limits each day with our biggest bag coming Saturday. We had 17lbs Saturday, 16.5lbs Friday and about 13lbs yesterday in only 3 hours. Some decent smallies scattered throughout the weekend as well with the biggest one in the trip coming unbuttoned at the boat. Looked like an easy 5lb+ fish. Most smallies we caught were between 17-19 inches with the biggest being just under 20. Most fish taken on crankbaits with a handful on jerkbaits. Fun trip with my youngest son and dad, just wished the weather would've cooperated better so my son could've fished more. Poor guy about froze to death Saturday in the winds. At least he said he wants to go back and he got to see a big brown sail out of the water. Unfortunately it was on my big pig that tossed it at the boat.
Water temps were anywhere between 46-51 depending what part of the lake we fished. Most of the lake is clear with a slight stain in some spots. Water level is down significantly to what I'm accustomed to for the spring. Levels was closer to that in the fall.
Certainly hope to get back down there again soon. Largemouth bite is alive and well.
Thanks a lot skeeter as I may get to fish the Holler this Tuesday. Appreciate the info, enjoyed the pics and glad ya'll got into some.

Look for grass beds on main lake points and flats. We had to back out to some deeper grass beds yesterday (10') but most of the time fished beds in 6-8 feet of water. The key seemed to be long casts and tick the grass. Very few if any bites came on casts that didnt tick the grass. I ripped some jerkbaits over the tops of the beds and hauled a few but the crankbait was the ticket.
Good luck!

Heading there soon, hope it's still on when I get there! Congrats on a great trip!
Great job. I'd love to hook into just a couple like that. Heading down to Eddy Creek on Friday the 10th. Maybe we can find a couple down there.
