Hey all, thinking about going down to the run with weekend to try for some muskie. Not really a muskie fisher but have been on a mission to catch my first one for a while now. Do they bite this time of the year at all? Also, I know the lake is pretty high, but I'm not sure of the effect of it on that particular lake as far as stain and bite. If we do head down any idea where I should target? Flats creeks, timber etc. Thanks for any input.

Anybody know what the water quality is like? Does the lake being that high really affect the muskie that much?
Also is Crash Mullins still guiding? I know he had some health problems a while back and their website and facebook page hasn't been updated in over a year.
I talked to an old guy at cave run pro shop back about two weeks ago. The water was about the same as it is now and he said they had been catching a few he said the biggest one was 40 inches. I seen crashes boat out last fall but haven't been around much to know about this yr.
I just called down to the pro shop and they said the water is high and muddy butt they're still catching a few.
Me personally I wouldn't be out on cave run until everything has calmed down. I've seen some monster floaters out there just barely above the top of the water.
