I fished this lake twice a few years ago and did alright. I was wondering if anyone else has ever fished it. Its a small lake 66 acre lake in Mt sterling.
I grew up fishing Greenbrier. It's quite an old little reservoir and maintains a very healthy fish population. I've caught several bass in the 3-5lb range over the past several years and I know there are some toads much much larger than that in that lake. It's quite a little hidden gem. Your best bet for bass fishing is to trolling motor all the way to the back of the creek (furthest point from the dam) and start working your way back. I'd say 80% of the larger bass I've caught in Greenbrier have come from this area of the lake and I have a report that good fish are being caught there very recently. I've worked craw type soft plastics and jigs where small rocky bluff walls and wood meet and had pretty consistent success although there is likely some pre-spawn/spawn pattern that is going on right now I would assume, therefore ya prolly couldn't go wrong with a red eye shad or a chatterbait, especially with the likely murky water conditions.
