Had a good 4 hour trip in the north end of KY Lake. Caught about 10 smallmouth along with more largemouth. Had 2 - 18 inch smallmouth and one 20 inch smallmouth. They were fat. Not sure if they were full of forage or eggs. Not many fish on the bank. Most were in 8-12 feet.

Man I'm heading down tomorrow. I'm staying canal campground and I'm dragging boat and brother dragging camper. Obviously, I'm on northern end... Were u fishing slow or fast to catch them smallies? I usually stick to Barkley, but I love them brownies..lol. Thx for any tips!
I use a 3.5 inch pumpkinseed (with some orange) tube with 1/4 ounce internal jighead with barbs crushed. I work it very slow casting into 6-12 feet of water. Deep water is very close.
Good luck,
Don
