We just got back....the bass fishin would have been MUCH better if the gills were not on the beds

I suspect you can murder them right now. I definitely need to get down there this time of the year, and LOAD the cooler with gills.....

I usually head to Barkley this time of year. I was invited to Kentucky this time around and it basically fishes the same. I will have trouble in the future deciding which to fish! I live in Louisville so I don't have a lot of opportunity to visit regularly.

Fish moved deep, we were there 5/15-5/18. Could not find them. Local guide said they had moved deep and out of the bay's due to dropping water at the lake, very disappointing!! Plus cold windy weather and heavy rains!

Here is a photo of our cooler from 5/16. Fish were in 2-5 feet of water. I would say the shallow water bite is almost over by now or will be soon. The water temps were around 73 degrees on Saturday.
