    I think it all depends on the situation. I've plunked down $800 for a tarpon trip for just me and the family. Hard to come up with another 15% on top of that with just one paying customer aboard. If there's a mate on board, I usually try to take care of them. They usually are working there butts off and tipping is a large part of their income.
