fished rough last weekend and saw one here and there come up very spread out though, almost impossible to fish. I did however catch one about 3lbs on a crankbait on a point friday evening. I would think here at anytime they should fire up.

Didn't know if anyone has had any luck as of late.

Ive tried a few times at tville with no luck. Im planning on fishing barren a few times this summer and also gonna try herrington at night fishing live bait under lights. Cant wait to get them fish in the jumps.
I am somewhat new to hybrid fishing and I was curious what time of year do you generally start seeing them in jumps on lakes like barren etc.?
Thank You!
Normally I see them from memorial weekend to Labor Day but that's all weather permitting. If it warms up fast they'll show up early if it cools down quick they'll disappear early. Usually early and late in the summer they are really spread out and I seem to do better with a rooster tail or kastmaster then as the group up I'll use a popper or walk the dog style bait. I feel that they normally peak from mid June to mid July and slowly slow down after that. If the water is calm they'll stay up longer. I've seen them come up on rough at 3pm on a Saturday with the lake turned upside down also though.

Thank you for the info!
Hybrid fishing is good at Barren right now. Get you some 5 1/2" jointed thundersticks and 30lb braid. The best time is 10pm-2am. Fish from the hogs back down to the dam or over on the end of the campground bank at the end of the bluff wall. We've had several limits caught and lots of nice sized fish 7lb and up. Focus on the points and try to get your bait as close to the bank as possible and use a low retrieve. Wait for the big ones to jerk you outta the boat!
Thanks for posting the info bass boss and fishincreek. Very helpful.
