My Dad has camped there several times and he has fished ponds on the park. Not sure if it's OK or not but nobody said anything. He did know somebody that worked the campground. Not sure if that helped or not either.

I will be camping with the family this weekend at the KY horsepark for first time. I usually like to take the kids fishing when we camp but I don't think there are any ponds on the campground. Does anyone have any ideas on close ponds or access points to elkhorn that I could have the kids catch some bluegills or catfish?? Anything within a short drive??
Thanks,
Mess

You can access Elkhorn from downtown Georgetown, which will be about a 10 minute drive max. There is a park downtown that has a lot of bank access. Also if you go to KY's fish and wildlife website, you can find access points to Elkhorn. (For bass, use a tube jig on the creek)I will be camping with the family this weekend at the KY horsepark for first time.
