    Kinkaid lake

Got of work decided to go to Kinkaid, I had never been there arrived around 5 o'clock fished until dark. Managed 6 fish. biggest around 2 lbs. Frogs Flukes and shallow running sad raps. All fish caught tight to bank relating to weeds . I was surprised just how small the lake is. Several other boat on the water. I had thought that it was a 10hp and under lake but the other boats had their big motors in the water. They were idling not racing up the lake.
I talked with an old timer coming of the water he was saying how the lake was dyeing do to silt build up. But that there were big fish still to be caught.

They just changed it this year that you can idle only a bigger motor.

    Big fish

Yes Kincaid is not what it used to be, though did get a 8 lbs. out of there last year. Used to be able to fish 1/2 a day and have 30 lbs. with 5 fish. The State spends so much money on the golf course, but will not dredge the lake or repair the parking lot.

I have not fished Kincaid this year have caught some nice bass there biggest I've seen is 8 caught by where the paddle boats used to be. That lake gets hammered you throw your bait in and the fish can tell you the make and color of your bait.

I would have to agree the parking lot is in very bad shape.

I haven't been on it in several years, I know it gave up a 6+ a couple weeks back. At one time it was second only to KY lake for fish over 10# per surface acre. I found it hard to believe but that was from a kdfwr report from shocking. It's a lowland reservoir and very fertile so the big should be there.
