    McAlpine Hybrids

Me and BentLoomis had a good day today on the hybrids . Don is the master of the stripers . Fishing behind the Hydro in Unit #1

Thanks Don for taking me , since I messed up my boat last wed. on my BIRTHDAY ....

I also got a 18in wallie Saturday down at Nolin on a crappie tube tipped with a minnow. The crappie are tightly bunched up , if you can find a school you will get 'em if not it's tough cause they are not spread out at all

Thanks for the kind words Jay. Master might be a little strong, but the Loomis's were definitely bent yesterday ! Great time. Thanks for making it a memorable trip.

    Hybrids & Stipers

It was a very up and down week on the river for the fish with stripes. It all depended on the water they were running. No water no fish, but I was fortunate enough to get a couple picture worthy fish. The big one was just over 23lbs.

Hey miss seeing you on the river giving you a hard time. Sure miss the river and striper fishing. If you ever want to nice trip for smallies come north to Wi. Living on a nice smallmouth lake. Stay safe.

Hey onemorecast56, good to hear you're still kicking. I had another decent day on the ole river. They turned a little water on today and it provided another pic opportunity. This one was right at 20 lbs. It's hard for me to get away, but thanks for the invite. You're always welcome on my boat if you make it down this way.

I agree with Peter. A striper over 20 lb out of the river is huge.

Dude my hat is off as you consistently catch much larger than average Stripers from the Ohio. You obviously know what you are doing, great job man.

    Hybrids & Stipers

Thanks Mark. I've put in my hours and taken my share of lumps over there, but I've developed a pattern that works for me. It was a slow day with dropping water, but I managed 1 decent hybrid. This fish was 11.13 lbs. No stripers today. I'll try again soon !
