Will the bass be biting this weekend?

Novice fisherman here in Louisville area. With this cold snap moving in this weekend, I am assuming the bass bite will be completely off. Is that correct? Should I still venture out somewhere and give it a shot, or just not waste my time and watch football instead!?!?!

Hard to make a blanket prediction, but my experience is that a cold front in the fall doesn't shut them down as much as a spring cold front. As a matter of fact, can do the opposite. Falling temps signal to bass that winter's coming and they better get the feed bag on.

It wouldn't stop me from going. If the bite seems tough, use smaller baits and work them more slowly.

I went to Nolin today. Fished from 3:00 till 7:00 NOTHING... Tried everything.
Going to Rough Sun.

I ended up going to my local creek on Sunday afternoon. Caught two in about 90 minutes. Both on a jig. This was the larger one.
