I am FAR from a sauger expert but believe you should be able to catch them below the lock there in downtown Frankfort.

Hey fellas had a quick question. I just recently moved down to Frankfort for a new job. Usually I'd go sauger fishing up at the falls because I had previously lived much closer to there in oldham county. I was just curious though if anyone knew of decent spots on the Kentucky river to catch sauger? I love about a mile from the river in Frankfort and would love to take advantage of it. But regardless anywhere on the Kentucky would be great. Any suggestions on a decent place?

Tacklebag is right. You should be able to catch sauger below any of the locks on the ky river. Check out some of the videos on youtube where tim farmer and company fish for sauger on the ky river. The river is supposed to be on the upswing for sauger fishing with the stocking program the dfwr has been doing.
