    rain/cold weather clothing

I've had a Bass Pro 100mph suit for quite a few years. It's served me pretty well to keep me dry and warm. But the suit (jacket especially) is starting to deteriorate after a LOT of use. So I've thought about buying a new 100mph jacket but I've also been looking at the suits by Simms and the Stormr Strykr suits. Anyone have experience wearing these other two brands? Thanks in advance for any advice!

I totally agree, you can't beat the BPS 100 MPH rain suits. Stay with what you know.

Simms is crazy expensive, but man oh man, that crap works.........

I have Cabelas Guidewear and Cabelas Rainy River..............I've had that stuff for 15 years, and every time I think about replacing, I come to the realization that the newer stuff is junk compared to what I'm still using.

My Guidewear is going real strong and always keeps me dry. the Rainy River has some issues, but I'm always drier than my friends wearing other stuff..........

    Later,

    Use reviews

I always check Amazon for a product review you can sort through them an see who has tested it and who is going to test it
Or google reviews for a product

I'm trying bass pro rain jacket cost 139$. I layer with what I need for warmth
Dry plus from Cabellas has been awesome for me also

My Columbia rain gear of about 15 years broke down this fall so I have been doing some homework on rain gear. I have no experience with any of them other than handling them in the store and reading reviews.

After trying on the high end Columbia and Under Armor rain gear as well as the BPS 100 mph stuff, for me, the Simms stuff stood apart from the rest.

Do a search for rain gear gear at the top in the middle of the page. Some good info there.

I bought the Cabela's Guidewear about four years ago and wouldn't even consider anything else at this point.
