I heard the KDFW is going to trim down some of the standing timber in the lake while the water level is down. Has anyone heard the same? I was there a couple of weeks ago and caught one 4-pound largemouth way off shore dragging a shaky head.

FYI KDWF just tweeted out that Cedar is at drawdown target level and the ramp at dam is currently the best option for launching boat

Looking to take my two boys out for their first time fishing in new boat. I think Saturday is best day. Any tips never fished Cedar. Looking for Largemouth. Thanks
you can carolina rig the railroad tracks (that is if you can claim a spot saturday lol), throw a Black and blue jig in the cedar trees, crank the dam or pitch finesse rig (drop shot/shakey head) my two preferences. Thats most likely what id try. Good luck!
