Cedar Creek Report 4/16-17

We fished Cedar Creek this past Saturday and Sunday. We caught about 40 largemouth over the two days with 2 keepers on Saturday. Just guessing, I would say that about half or just less than half of those 40 were over 15". We caught most of them shallow flipping the trees, but when the wind would pick up, we could catch a few on spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. Water temps ranged from 60 to 67 depending on area and time of day. The water was lightly stained in the morning and got progressively more stained throughout the day both days. If I had the chance, I would be out there every day this week.

Also, several people were crappie fishing and it looked like most of them were fishing shallow and the ones we talked to were doing pretty well.

I knew I forgot to include something.... The lake was still about 4-5 ft low. The courtesy docks at the dam and the Old 150 were way out of water.
