Ohio river

Anybody been lately? Is it too late for sauger or too early for hybrids? Thinking about running down with the Tracker if anyone wants to go last minute. Prob leave in an hour or 2 and have an empty seat

I find out that I shouldn't have bought so many minnow 😬. Didn't catch a single sauger although I did see a few being caught off shore. Ended up cathing a couple hybrids but pretty slow overall. I fished by the upper **** around the creek you can park and walk up.
They were practicing for the air show and flying right over our heads. Very cool but made up for a slow fishing day.

I'm assuming the ramps will be closed today for thunder but does anyone know if they will be open tomorrow?

I caught a decent smallie today on buzzbait In 58 degree water. River up about 3 foot and gushing, but this was in dead slack wter behind a boulder with sun on it. It was awesome!!

Hey Chuck, yes that was me. I thought that was you and almost asked but I wasn't sure. We have met before but it has been a few years down by the lower dam. I was picking your brain on how to hook into some of the monsters I see you post 😄

Ok I remember now,I had good numbers but nothing big. 30# being the biggest. I didn't get the bait I was looking for but it was a good day. And the air show was good....kinda glad the jets didn't make there appearance freaks the fish out a bit LOL.
