Issue with navionics maps in my bird units

So, I have the navionics gold maps, and there seems to be a problem once you update with the latest update from navionics.

I have not been able to find anything on their website, but this is what happens.......on some bays, like in Sugar and Rhodes, there are areas that are blacked completely out and labeled as first harbor and second harbor.

Does anyone know what this is, and secondarily, does anyone know how to turn that crap off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what they look like:

Again, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Geo.

Humm. My first thought was that it was marking the wildlife sanctuaries. But looking at it closer I do not believe those areas are wildlife sanct. Since it started occurring with the new update. I would log it and open a ticket with hummingbird support. Wish that I could offer more support.

    Thanks,

    Geo.

I think I figured it out.

My new Helix and my old 788 series can handle the Navionics Custom setting. In that custom setting, you can turn on and off custom features. I guess the first class and second class harbors are areas that "someone" put on the map as a custom edit.

I've turned off the OTHER Features option on my Helix, and that crap went away.

Maybe that will fix my issues.

    later,

    Geo
