i want to catch my first stripped bass

i live on the south side of Lexington and only have a kayak. i am willing to drive 1.5hrs. Where should i go and any tips tricks you can give me?

Go to lake cumberland and hire a guide it will be well worth your time

if you want to catch a true striped bass i would think you would have to go to cumberland, but hybreds are in the ohio river and i would think the kentucky river. usually they are in the tailraces of the dams . this time of year ive caught them on alabama rigs down stream of dams where there are shoals from incoming streams nothing huge, 5 or 6 pounds , but they really hit hard.

it doesn't have to be a true stripped bass, a hybrid would work also.
