Try putting in at Van Buren and trolling toward the dam with # 5 or # 7 shad raps.

The two places I've had the most luck on Hybrids/White Bass are out in front of Chowning ramp & the straight stretch of water right before you get to the mid-lake horseshoe bend (coming from the dam end of the lake). I've caught most of mine (in the past) on Silver Buddy blade baits (painted white) and Hot-n-Tot crankbaits with a 1/16oz Crappie jig on a 18" leader ... both used while trolling.

And "Fishncreek" is correct ... as I've heard and known people using the Shad Raps to have caught Hybrids quite often, and around the Chowning ramp area.

I've also seen & had a lot of Hybrid action on the flat that's just around the corner from Settler's Trace Marina, as you're going towards the dam. Mostly trolling from the "hump" .... towards the next creek on the right ... and back towards the hump.

Even with heavy boat traffic, if there's surface activity (jumps) in the area ... they will still be there and can be caught trolling (or at least that's been my experience ... but, it's been a few years since I've actually fished for them).

Pappy pretty much covered all the bases. Those are the 3 places I know of. You will catch alot of whites in shallower water. Seems like the hybrids hang out a little deeper unless they get up in the jumps

    Skunked

I went Saturday morning and evening with 0 luck. I was running planers boards with shad and shiners 4 to 10 ft deep at 0.7mph. Never got a bite. We did catch and release some nice blues on our noodles that were 10 plus pounds each.
