They were both caught on the same pattern

It is a variation of the Spruce Fly. I have been fishing that fly for over thirty years and caught fish all over the country on it. I first tied it in Utah fishing the Provo River hence the name "Provo Proven". It is a very reliable producer and locator fly. I drift and strip it. I ll try and post a pic but I think my flies are all in KY. Anyway it is a Spruce tied size 1-6 2x long. The variation is Gray squirrel tail instead of Badger and Grizzly saddle instead of more badger. It looks incredibly real with awesome movement the red is an excellent hot spot.

YOU small creek brookie guys should tie a couple of small ones and try em out.

Just checked my fly bag all my streamers are in KY. Ill follow up with a pic for anyone that wants one but its pretty simple.
