    Cumberland Question/Advice

    Hey All,
I have some time off work i will need to use from now til January 1. I would like to bring the kids down and charter a stripper guide on the lake. My question is from now til years end is there a particular month or part of month that's better stripper fishing? I can schedule the time off accordingly

    Thanks in advance fellas ,

Finding a guide available right now is the problem. I personally go with Lance Sasser hes awesome. A friend of mine swears by Morgans guide service. Either way im sure you wont be disappointed. Just get those kids fishing lol

All the guides I've met at Jamestown are very friendly and knowledgeable, just be sure to book as far in advance as possible and weekdays are always better on the lake this time of year.

Hillbilly delux with Gary Bachman. He has a 32" pontoon. Would be very comfortable for the kids. Out of Jamestown. Tell him Todd sent you.

I would go with Talent guide service out of Grider Hill.

    Thanks in advance fellas ,
Best time for me has been last 2 weeks of October and First 2 weeks of November. Reasons:
    - Jamestown Marina Motel rooms easy to get and off season rates
    - Striper fishing is hot in morning and late afternoon as they often surface and go in the jumps. It's a magnificent display the kids would love and easy fishing as you can just throw lures.
    - Fish are normally shallow this time of year and evenings and mornings are good with live bait along the banks and flats. From your room at the Jamestown Lodge and from the back deck you'll be able to see the fish when they come up to feed. If you stay at the State Park Resort Motel, get a room facing the lake
    - Very little dock traffic and very easy access to everything, including restaurants in town. Do hit the little one on the square in Jamestown , Jamestown Cafe.
    - Lake water is clear and georgoeus, less boat traffic, and weather not to cold or hot for the little ones. Seeing the trees turning colors this time of year from the lake is awesome.

Hope this helps. 90% of my trips are now this time of year
